The Ogun State Government has appointed Mr. Olanrewaju Iskeel Saka as the new Head of the State Public Service following the statutory retirement of the immediate past occupant, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya.
The appointment, which was approved by Governor Dapo Abiodun based on Saka’s track record of service, commitment to duty, and administrative experience within the State civil service, was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi.
Until his elevation, Saka served as Permanent Secretary in the Bureau of Cabinet and Special Services, where he was involved in policy coordination and other key government administrative responsibilities.
Born on February 15, 1968, the new Head of Service who began his career in the Ogun State Public Service as a classroom teacher in 1993, was later transferred to the administrative cadre in 2006 as a Senior Administrative Officer on Grade Level 09, and subsequently rose through various positions in the service.
He is a distinguished member of several professional bodies, including the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Policy Management Development.
The government expressed confidence in his ability to provide leadership for the public service and sustain ongoing administrative reforms in the State.
